Whose Fault Is It That I’m Getting Nail Fungus?

I have been getting acrylic done on my nails for years and have never gotten nail fungus. I have been going to the same place now for over a year and am getting nail fungus like all the time. Every time I go to get them redone and take off the old nail polish there it is even more than last time. Should I go somewhere else or am I doing something wrong?

First of all, it the color of the infected area a dark green? If so, it is NOT a fungus. It is a simple bacterial infection. How to ‘cure’ it? Simple.Remove the acrylic from the infected nail(s). The air will kill the bacteria. It is not a fungus, it is not harmful, and it does not require a prescription medication. Yes, the discoloration may remain on your nail(s) for a while, but that does not mean the infection is still there. At that point, it is only a discoloration on your nails and nothing else. Let it grow out and you will be fine…

OMG.. same thing with ME!!! ok so i fot this discusting fungis thing.. and i was like EW what is this…! and i looked online and sure enough i had a fungus i went to my doctor.. He said i needed to stop going to the nail salons for a month.. He said that sometimes the people doing the nail salons dont clean there tools.which means. that someone even 8 people before you getting your nails done had a fungus.. and gave it to all you 7 people.. Just because they think killing bacteria on the brushes. is just soaking them in bleach nahh uhh… You gotta actually clean those suckers..

you have a fungal infection. it will be hard to determine where it came from and will need a course of prescribed meds to get rid of it. the acrylics aren’t helping. see a doctor.
